Polyester Screen Printing Fabric is of two types, namely –
MULTI-FILAMENT SCREEN PRINTING FABRICS |
Multi-Filament Screen Printing Fabric is made from suitable Denier as per requirement. In our opinion, the best quality fabric is the one made from the minimum filaments. In India, multi-filament polyester screen printing fabric is being used as it has the following advantages:-
Exact register |
It is not affected by usual temperature fluctuations or by humidity. Thus, exact register is maintained till the end of the printing process. |
Large size printing is possible. |
This fabric is very resistant to most mineral acids, resistant to weak lyes but dissolution by strong alkalis at higher temperatures. |
Tear percentage is reduced because of multi-filament yarn. |
Polyester multi-filament screen printing fabric in 20, 40, 50, 80, 100, 120, 140 mesh size is available in different widths woven using Denier and filament as per the requirement of the fabric. |

MONO-FILAMENT SCREEN PRINTING FABRICS |
Mono-Filament Screen Printing Fabricfabric is made from single filament. The (benefits) salient features of polyester mono-filament screen printing fabric are as follows :-
Mono fabric is made of mono-filament (single strand) polyester yarn. |
Mono fabric is more abrasion resistant as compared to multi-filament polyester fabric. |
Mono fabric has a very high resistance to stretching and thereby ensuring an exact register. |
Large size printing |
In mono-filament fabric, color penetration is better because of the compact surface as compared to multi-filament. In multi-filament, color residue remains between the individual filaments and are difficult to remove. So there is a possibility of chocking of the frame.
Cleaning is far easier with a mono-filament fabric than with multi-filament weave. |
Multi-filament yarns are usually thicker than the corresponding mono-filament yarns. Thus the free printing area would be too small in multi-filament fabric in the same mesh counts against mono-filament fabric. Thus, better printing results can be obtained in mono-filament fabric.
Color consumption depends principally on fabric thickness and is much reduced by using mono fabric with their finer threads. This shortens the drying time considerably. Efficient work can be obtained especially on high speed automatic machines
Mono fabric lifts off readily from the printing base, avoiding ink smear and allows the machine to be run at higher speeds.
Mono is highly acid proof and insensitive to light. |

Polyester Mono-filament screen printing fabric is a – |
Fabric made from two filaments (HD) and is available in 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120 & 140 mesh sizes |
Fabric made from single strand in 20 (8T), 40 (18T), 60 (24T), 80 (32T), 100 (40T), 120 (48T), 140 (62T), 160 (77T), 200 (90T), 230 mesh size are regular products and are available as per requirement in width up to 140” – Regular – 45”, 68” and 92”. |
All the above fabrics are manufactured for textile screen making. The fabrics are also used for filter cloth in gum industry, Pharmaceuticals, Chemical industries as well as Dairies.
All our multi and mono fabrics are woven on Sulzer looms. |
